Garden Work & A Tragic Trucking Accident

Mommaw and Poppaw are planting their garden so my big one came home and decided he needed to get to work on his. He put on his shoes, a lovely pair of camouflage boots teamed with a lovely pair of shorts. He chose the shoes. He loaded up his truck, actually his brother's truck-we discuss this nearly everytime he gets in it but it never seems to sink in, got his daddy's thick skull I think, and found a rope. He has ready access to ropes and straps. We periodically have to ask him where they are as he's very much like a rope and strap ferret. It's his thing. He took a red strap to church Sunday. It was about 20 feet long. He worked with it alot, everyone at church saw it. Anyway....back to the farm report. You can see the rope tied to his truck. He doesn't actually know how to tie but he always manages to tie his ropes or straps.

Then he found his plow. You can see him here carrying it. It doubles as a plant stand on my front porch. He then attached his plow to the back of his dump truck with the rope he'd previously attached to his truck. And then, of course, he made sure all of his equipment was appropriately assembled and safe to operate. My son is all about safety. That's his thing.

Once all the details were covered, he began to plow his garden space-which is also known as our front porch. I apologize that the work was not actually documented but anyone who knows my boy knows that he is a working man. I mean, he's called Benjamin Kaleb the Working Man.

Once he was done, my baby decided it was time to drive his own truck-he's so rarely allowed the opportunity. He promptly drove it off the porch straight into a flower bed. Fortunately, the hubby was nearby and was able to watch the accident happen and comfort the baby but, for some reason (i.e. super slow reflexes and and unfortunate lack of attention) was not able to keep the accident from happening.

It was touch and go for a few minutes, but it was determined that his injuries were not serious and he was expected to make a full recovery. He only minutes later was recovered enough to attempt to flee the premises. That's another post. The truck was not damaged-shew(wiping relieved sweat from my brow)!!
