Exciting News!!

I have exciting news! Well, actually, I have several exciting announcements.

First of all, we got a new four wheeler. We really needed one. I mean really. I'm surprised we've been able to exist as long as we have without one. The little punks love it. They would ride all day long if you'd let them. I like it too. It's super fast. It's an automatic. It's a lot of other things that I don't understand. It's green. (That's one thing I do understand.) It's super fast. I said that before. It's just that fast. I've never had it opened up all the way. This is me riding it. That's just how awesome I am.

(Of course I'm joking. That's not really me. Although, if I was going to do that I would absolutely wear that outfit. It matches that atv perfectly. No doubt that's why that dude's mom picked it out.)

Anyway, we've now got a four wheeler. We ride up and down the gravel road. We road on the dirt road today. It's going to come in handy in a couple of weeks when blackberries are ready to pick. We've had it about a week and we've only gotten it stuck in the mud and had to pull it out with a tow strap once. Not bad, huh.

The second announcement is, in my humble opinion, even more exciting. My hydrangeas are blooming!! You might be thinking to yourself, "She thinks that her shrubs blooming is more exciting than an awesome cool atv? She's clearly not a man." And you would be correct in thinking that. I am not a man. I think my hydrangeas blooming is a big deal. They've been planted in front of my garage for about 3 years no and I've only ever gotten one bloom off of the two of them combined. I love hydrangeas. They're my all time favorite flower. I especially love these hydrangeas because I got them at Lowe's on clearance for three dollars. You know how I love a bargain. I've been sorely disappointed in their performance to this point. They look fantastic. They're full and rounded and green. They've just never managed to bear more than one flower. There are several blooms on each shrub right now so I'm almost giddy with the prospect of them being weighed down with heavy flowers even though almost everyone Else's hydrangeas are already starting to die back. We tend to be a little behind up here on Horseford Road. I guess time moves a little slower when you're out in the middle of the wild.

This is a bloom before the color started to come out.

I don't know about you but I think that's all of the excitement I can stand for one day. I've got to get the big punk to bed now. At some point, I plan to edit this post and add on the other flowers I have in the flower garden. I'm interested in doing this mostly to illustrate what a smart shopper I am. I have to do that later though because my punk is already past his bedtime!
