Shoes

Yes, I'm writing an entire blog post about shoes. It's not what you think but I could very well fill up an entire blog just talking about shoes. If we added purses and handbags to that blog it could very well take up hours of my time writing and yours reading it. That's not what this blog is about though.

I came home early yesterday so that we could go buy a car in Ohio. We did buy it but that is a different blog. We have a wooden deck in our garage, three steps up from the floor of the garage, that leads either into the utility room or onto the porch. This is where we pull our shoes off. It's always a mess because we're neither neat nor tidy with it but it's actually part of the garage and the last thing I plan to clean is a garage.

Anyway, I was putting on some flippy's yesterday and noticed that something was off with a pair of my tan slide heels. They had been chewed on. And I'm pretty sure it wasn't one of the boys that had done it. They only on rare occassions put shoes into their mouths. The heel was completely destroyed on the shoe. I wasn't too mad but I certainly wasn't happy about it. I really liked those shoes. I'd just worn them to church Sunday. I bought them at Target in Columbus about 4 years ago. I paid about $5 dollars for them! I really liked them. Some might say that if I only paid $5 for them and wore them for 4 years then I got my money's worth. I would agree but that doesn't change the fact that I wanted the new dog not to eat my shoes. And it was Haley that did it, or so I've been told. It might have been one of the boys and hubby is just telling me that to throw the heat off of them.

This gave me an idea though. I've lost that pair of shoes. I've got my favorite black heels that are in kind of rough shape. I think that I need new shoes. I haven't made that argument yet but it seems like a valid one. It seems like a good one to justify the box full of shoes in the trunk of my car. I purchased them last week, well I actually ordered them 3 weeks ago and they finally came last week. I've been bringing them inside one pair at a time so that hubby wouldn't notice. He hasn't yet. If he reads this post, the jig is up. So, hubby, for in observance of your 40th  birthday, I bought myself 6 pairs of new shoes to replace the ones that have been destroyed by pestilence or continued wear. I can hear him right now, "Six pairs of shoes? You lost 2 pairs and you had to replace them with 6?" His voice is very loud in my head when he says that. This is when I would assure him that it could've been worse. I actually ordered 10 pairs. Four were out of stock and I won't be getting them. This is a problem as it leaves me without a pair of black heels to replace the worn out ones, but I can get a pair of them later. In my own defense, I only paid $55 for the 6 pairs of shoes. They were all on clearance, one pair for $5 the others for less than $10. I got a really good deal on them.

These are my shoes. Feel free to oooh and aaah over them as they are completely awesome. I've worn 3 pairs so far and they are pretty comfortable.

These are my new brown shoes. They're lovely. Very business like.

These are my other new brown shoes. They're also very lovely and business-like. They have a 4" heel.

These are my new pink shoes. I haven't worn them yet. They're adorable and were only $5.
These are my new purple shoes. They have gold tips on the 4" heels. They might be my favorite.

These are my new maroon shoes. The 4" heel is gold. how awesome are they?

These are probably my favorites. I haven't worn them yet but they are crazy cute.

See, I got all these awesome shoes for less than $55. Shiekhshoes.com. You should check it out. They take a while to ship but they gave me a 10% off coupon for my next purchase. I think I should take advantage of that coupon, don't you? Hubby, I know what you're going to say. I was just kidding. I'm not going to buy any new shoes right now. Sheesh. It's like he's the only one with a job.
